Andreas Döllerer

Chef Koch Andreas Döllerer (awarded 3 Gault Millau toques) is a multi-facetted individual. Especially when it comes to food. He has scarcely turned 30 and has already seen a great deal of the world. He learned to cook his exceptional food abroad under Dieter Müller at the Schloss Lerbach in Germant and the ‘La Taverna’ restaurant in Colloredo di Montalbano in Italy. Of course, he also has a great deal of talent and a passion for all things related to pleasure!

Since 2003, he has been injecting new life into the Austrian restaurant scene, immediately securing 3 Gault Millau toques for Döllerer’s luxury restaurant and 2 Gault Millau toques for Döllerer’s tavern. His motto is traditional meets modern and he demonstrates this with an ever-present courage in tackling new things. His cooking range is called Cuisine Alpine and is a successful mix of classic Austrian delicacies refined with a dose of creativity and international charm.

In his free time, Andreas likes to sample gourmet cuisine across the world. When at home, he prefers to eat local fine foods. Guests will find fresh fish from the nearby Bluntautal valley on his menu which is caught by Andreas Döllerer in person each morning in the crystal-clear waters. He then uses the fish to make his exquisite dishes. His meats also include Pinzgau organic beef and Tauern lamb from the natural meadows of the Salzburg region. Today, Döllerer’s luxury restaurant is one of the best gourmet restaurants in Austria.

Andreas Döllerer – a short résumé

1979 was a good year for Austrian wines – and for Austrian chefs. Andreas Döllerer was born in April 1979 in the Salzburg region. He was brought up in the family business, went to school in Golling and graduated from the college of hotel management in Bad Hofgastein.

He then completed his year of military service and spent some time travelling and completing placements in Austria and abroad. A year spent in the kitchens of Dieter Müller completed his ‘basic training’ and he has never stopped building on this ever since

Since 2004, Andreas Döllerer has been working as a chef for his own business, perfecting and developing his ‘Cuisine Alpine’. He is a real creative star among Austrian chefs and in 2007 was named as up-and-coming chef of the year. In 2008, he received the ‘Tropheé Gourmet’ for creative cuisine. His restaurant in Golling has been awarded 18 Gault Millau points, making it one of the top 10 in Austria.

On 14 September 2010 Andreas Döllerer was named Chef of the Year by Gault Millau under the patronage of Agrana.
